It's Always Purple

I really like the idea of the ARPGs that have been floating around, and the art driven RP groups, and I want to try my hand at making one myself. This is going to be the main species I use for it. I already have a lot of their backstory and info planned out, just no species name as of yet, though tentatively 'Ayvari' (definitely subject to change since they don't have lips and couldn't pronounce the 'v' sound; I'm picky about that).

This species has a class system that they use to categorize themselves with (or at least the major sect uses it, but more on that at a later time). For example, this particular type would fall under a 'Battlemage'. Battlemages are the most diverse of all the types because they are armored yet also have magical abilities. This one must have lowborn blood somewhere in their lineage given that, while they are brightly colored (a sign of nobility, as low-borns typically are more natural colored), they don't have the wrist-feathers/wings of a noble or royal.
They do, however, have 'horns' (which are actually used as magic receptors, and not for fighting) which are the mark of a mage, but also slightly more elongated tusks, less fur and more scales, the killing claw, and also the exaggerated tail-scythe that are attributes of a warrior. Given their horns aren't very impressive in size, they wouldn't be a very powerful mage, and would most likely be sent out to provide support to the warriors.
